Springfield Armory’s EMP (Enhanced Micro Pistol) changes what a compact 1911 can be. The action of the EMP is 1/8-inch shorter than that of the original 1911 and its shorter grip radius produces a shockingly comfortable shooting experience. The EMP comes loaded with all the features you expect in a 1911 of this class like low profile 3-Dot tritium combat sights and a match grade fully supported and ramped barrel.The EMP Lightweight Champion with Concealed Carry Contour model improves on the original by combining a longer barrel with a frame trimmed for ultimate concealment. The bevel cut on the mainspring housing does a lot more than one might think. The rounded contour molds to the shape of the shooters hand, preventing “palm bite” during fire. For carry, the contoured shape helps to prevent snags during the draw and virtually eliminates the telltale bulge under a cover garment. It utilizes a four-inch, stainless steel barrel housed in a forged stainless steel slide and forged aluminum alloy frame. Checkered black G-10 grip panels combine a slip-free hold, while both front and rear strap frame surfaces feature a smooth, but effective, Posi-Lok texturing pattern. While a normal, all steel 1911 can weigh over two and a half pounds empty, the 9mm Champion™ tips the scales at just 31.5 ounces. While the overall height is the same as that of the Range Officer® Operator®, the Champion™ includes a four inch stainless steel match grade barrel as opposed to the Government size five inch barrel. In the Champion™, we use a bull barrel fitted to the slide that houses a supported ramp to save wear and tear on the frame over time. As a result, we can use lighter weight forged aluminum for the frame. That helps us shave weight for its intended carry mission.
The sights are all business, with a fiber optic up front and a low profile combat sight in the rear that won’t snag during the draw. The Viper allows one-handed firing for better shooting performance. It is aluminum and polymer, its frame designed and made exclusively for compatibility with the M3D G19. It also comes with a hook and loop fastener, providing a custom fit for any user. It features a folding mechanism for a sturdier position and is equipped with an adjustable nylon brace. It is equipped with a long Picatinny rail, allowing you to add on to this already incredible device, and comes with two extra right and left Picatinny rails for mounting even more accessories. The Full Conceal M3D, based on the For Glock 19 Gen4 platform, is a folding pistol that leaves the footprint of a common cellphone when folded for easy concealment in a pocket, bag, or purse. It can also be set folded inside the Viper, which can then be folded around it. While both folded and unfolded, it is well balanced and compact for comfortable carry. Serious shooters who care about the details welcomed the precision features that made the Range Officer® perform far beyond its price tag.
We insisted on the best components and manufacturing techniques, like forged national match frames and slides, both features found on our top end 1911 models. The PPQ M2 Navy is a true breakthrough in ergonomics for self-defense
handguns. The styling is elegant and trim with a sculpted grip that meshes
smoothly into the hand. The PPQ M2 has a reversible mag release button and
an ambidextrous slide stop. The ‘Quick Defense’ trigger works in
conjunction with a fully pre-loaded striker assembly. The trigger pull of
5.6 lbs remains unchanged from the first shot to the last and requires no
decocker. The PPQ M2 has two drop safeties and a firing pin block for safe
carry. Because the firearm is in a constant cocked state, the striker does
not protrude from the back of the slide. The polymer frame has
interchangeable backstraps and an integral Picatinny Mil-Spec rail. It has
low profile, 3-dot sights with a windage adjustable rear. The PPQ M2 has
Tenifer-coated slide and 4.6″ threaded barrel.
